I met Katrina and Gabriel 4 years ago. They were attending the same poetry program as my roommate and I was figuring out what I wanted to do with my life. Today, our lives seem to be on more similar tracks: each of us balancing art with our work in education. Getting to know these people as individuals and as a couple has been a great privilege. They embody the ideal of being in love with your best friend. Also, they embody the ideal of being in love with your best friend amongst kind people, beautiful words, and—most importantly—at least six kinds of pie.
